I have a very high garage ceiling and had a hard time finding stairs tall enough, your model 1805 at 10' 6" was just what
I needed. I used the information on your web site to measure for the stairs. I placed an online order and they arrived in
great shape, packed very well. The stairs installed very easily with the help of my brother. So, thank you I am very pleased.

Just wanted to drop a line and let you guys know that I was very happy with my experience with Calvert. I am a carpenter/woodworker
in Westchester County, N.Y. and generally other than screws, general supplies, etc. I never order anything large over the
internet. I took a chance with ordering Attic stairs (model # 1017) for my own house and I have to say I was extremely pleased
with the prompt delivery, packaging, and quality of the product. I am not the kind of person who writes these kinds of notes
often but it is not every day that a companies claim about their product is true and then some. I will recommend Calvert to

Quick note to say how pleased I am with my model 1803 attic access I recently bought. It arrived quickly and undamaged via
FedEx. It is obviously well built and worth the additional cost over similar products on sale at Lowe’s or Home Depot.

Hi,
Just purchased and installed folding attic stairs (item 1803) in my garage. The first thing I noticed when I opened the box
and looked at the instructions was that it was a two-man job.
Since I was alone at home, I had to figure out how to do it by myself, and I did.
The quality of the stairs is very good and I had no trouble with the installation or reading the instructions. The only
advice I would give is to be careful not to overdo the shims - you can easily tweak the frame too much and bind things up.

Wooden Folding Attic Stairs I
have 2 separate attics, and for years I put up with getting to the first one through a closet "hatch". When that
attic filled up, I swore I'd never access the other one thru the 2' x 2' ceiling hatch. So I looked for some
folding stairs. The Calvert products appeared to be SO MUCH better than the local retailer models ... the door was sturdy
and seemed like it wouldn't warp or splinter like the 1/4" plywood that the "home center" models all
seemed to provide. The ladder looked stiffer and more rugged, the insulation and finish on the hatch simply of better quality.
I figured it was gonna take some work to put in, so I wanted to do it only once and do it right. And the Calverts were
really only a few bucks more ... Best decision I ever made. I cut an opening in my ceiling (only had to cut one beam),
reframed it in a jiffy, and installed the whole business in a single afternoon (well, I did the trim mouldings the next
morning!). That was a year and a half ago. It still works great and looks great, even after constant, heavy use (I gave
it a workout when I installed a finished floor in the attic). I'd recommend these stairs to anyone ... without reservation.

product at a very fair price. I ordered the optional 1.5" insulated door and coupled with the latch that keeps the door
securely closed,there is no doubt that we saved on our heating costs this past winter. I highly recommend this door. Dave
